Day 83: Frozen TV Dinner Diet

Welcome back!

Since I started counting calories I have found that most of the foods that I can find in local supermarkets have a surprising, sometimes downright shocking, number of calories.

Especially since so many products are labeled in such a way as to hide the total calories. They do this by saying that one serving is 1/3, 1/4 or even 1/5 of a container. For example Vienna sausages, the small can with seven sausages in it. It’s label says that “servings per container” is 2, when in actual fact I don’t think anyone does less than eat all seven.

Then there’s the things that say “servings per container: about 2.5″ or about 3.5 and things like that. This is in spite of the fact that most people will normally eat the whole container as an actual real life serving. This means that they don’t realize that the calories they’re getting is actually 2.5, 3.5 or whatever times the number listed on the label, which is written in amounts per serving.

Is it any wonder why so many people are so fat and having trouble losing weight?

Recently in my quest to find low calorie foods I took a look at the labels on frozen dinners. I explain what I found in the video.

You can easily do a lot to encourage a seriously overweight fat guy (that’s me!) trying to lose weight by taking a couple minutes and click here to watch this on YouTube and rate, favorite, comment, subscribe, Etc… Thanks.
