Icing For All Those Cookies

With all the cookies and such that I’ve posted about lately it’s occurred to me that most, if not all, of them can be jacked up just a bit with the addition of some icing. To that end here’s a couple of icing variations:

Ginger Molasses Icing

Mix together a teaspoon of molasses, a teaspoon or two of milk, and 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger.

Cinnamon Icing

Mix together a cup of powdered sugar, a couple teaspoons of milk, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.

In each case you can vary the amount of sugar or milk to make the icing the exact consistency that you want (though it should turn out fairly thick.) You can then either brush or drizzle it on.
