I hadn’t ever heard of any kind of “instant” sweet potato product at all until my wife ran across this while shopping for some other stuff. What she found was Betty Crocker Sweet Potato mashed potatoes.

It’s actually a blend of Russet and Sweet potatoes and seasonings. So far we’ve found that they’re just great made according to the box directions. Once they’re mixed and you get the part where you let ‘em stand for a minute or two, we’ve found that adding a few pats of butter absolutely caps the taste.

They’re a great variation on the standard mashed potato routine with a rich taste that’s sure to leave people wondering how you did it (as long as they don’t see the box)
