I know That sounds like an odd sort of thing to see as the title of an entry on a cooking / food blog but I’ve got good reason. You see, once upon a time in another place and time, there was this really handy C-Store that manged to locate itself on or close to nearly every major intersection in Tulsa.

Quicktrip (or QT as it’s also known) is the home of a truly great French Vanilla Cappuccino. I realize that under that mattress of inviting cappuccino foam the brew within is little more than a made-on-the-spot instant drink that I’m certain that cappuccino experts will say only wants to be a real cappuccino. Thing is, I don’t care about that.

I’m much more interested in the fact that it’s very good and few, if any, others can come close. That’s not to say that others aren’t good, just that as good as many of them are they don’t compare to what I used to get at QT. Maybe someday I’ll once again be within reach of a QT but until then I’ll make do with what offerings I can find locally.
